October 12, 2011: Cape Air Q&A
For those who do not know, Southern Illinois University and Cape Air have teamed up to offer SIU flight instructors who have gone through the SIU program a oppertunity to build multi-engine time with Cape Air. Cape Air has served the east coast since their first flight in 1989. According to Cape Air’s website, they operate over 64 Cessna 402′s with up to 600 flights per day. Cape Air is the largest independent regional airline in the United States with over 650,000 passengers served last year. A pilot recruiter from their midwest region will be here to talk about the airline and answer questions about the new co-op program. The meeting will be held at 5:00 PM in Avtech room 146. All students, staff, and faculty are invited to attend.
